SPEECH COMPETITION

General Rules
- Every participants should register and confirm their presence before the competition starts.
- The registration will start at 7.30 AM and ends at 8 AM.
- The competition will start at 8 AM and ends at 5 PM. It applies for the first day and the second day.
- Participants must arrive on time. The committee will call out the participants name three times. If they are not present, they will be placed at the last spot.
- There will be three judges who will collectively assess each participant.
- There will be an indicator to remind how much time the participants have left. The card are as following:
- Green card means three minutes left.
- Yellow card means one minute left.
- Red card means overtime. - There will be four rounds; Preliminary Round, Quarter-Final Round, Semi-Final Round and Final Round.
- The content must not contain racist, sexist and or homophobic materials.
- Podium will be provided.
- Judges decisions are final.
- The participants are expected to maintain cleanliness in the area.
- Eating and drinking is prohibited when the competition is running.
ROUNDS
Day - 1
Preliminary Round

- Five to seven minutes speech.
- Deduction point for under-time and overtime.
- Strictly no script allowed.
- Properties are allowed.
- Participants must print out three copies of the speech.
- Timing will begin once the speakers first definite verbal or non-verbal communication.
Quarter-Final Round
(20 participants)

- Three to five minutes speech.
- Deduction of point for under time and overtime.
- The speech format will be table topics.
- The participants will be given a topic and will have 30 seconds to think of the speech.
Day - 2
Semi-Final Round
(10 participants)
Semi-Final Round
(10 participants)
- Five to seven minutes speech.
- Deduction point for under-time and overtime.
- The topic will be given at the quarantine room.
- The participants will be given a 5 x 7 piece of paper to write down the notes.
- They have 30 minutes to create the speech.
- This round is humorous, the participants will be judged by how well can they keep the audience interested and by the reactions of the audience.
Final Round (6 participants)
- Four to seven minutes speech.
- Deduction point for under time and overtime.
- The participants will be given a topic and will need to write the speech in the given 30 minutes to prepare the speech.
- The speech must be inspirational..
- The participants will be given a 5 x 7 piece of paper to write down notes.
- Audience are allowed.
